There are many great residential subdivisions in town, offering safety and a real sense of community. Family is important in Carstairs. Check out the many programs we offer young families. Our recreation facilities include soccer fields, tennis courts, arena and curling rink, as well as a splash park now in the planning stages. The campground is simply beautiful, and features a replica grain elevator with many historical items on exhibit.

Whitewater Rafting
Host: Community Resource Centre
Description: Whitewater Rafting with Mukwah Tours. For Ages 12 and up. Additional waiver required. Get your adrenalin flowing. Located just outside of Sundre along the Red Deer River. Pick up is 8:45 am, return 5:15 pm. Cost $105 per person. Children must be pre-registered and pre-paid to attend. Registration deadline is the Thursday prior. A warm lunch will be provided, as well as wetsuits, life jackets, helmets, paddling jackets, fleece, wet shoes, and gloves. Registration deadline is the Thursday prior.
